is the Prime Minister of Iceland and the Leader of the Left-Green Movement. She holds an MA degree in literature from the University of Iceland and a BA in Icelandic and French from the same university. Katrín was first elected to the Icelandic Parliament in 2007 and she served as Minister for Education, Culture and Science in the post-crash left-wing government from 2009 to 2013. She is the second female prime minister of Iceland.
